In Japanese, “Shibari” simply means “to tie”. The contemporary meaning of Shibari describes an ancient Japanese artistic form of rope bondage.

When I create a pattern on the back, adding flowers, she feels her beautiful ridgeline - like a kiss at every point, at every point of Life, and she becomes even more graceful and feminine, she feels it and enjoys it.

In Shibari, it is the strength and energy of the person who is being connected is directed in full surrender for his own comfort and relaxation. Why? A person completely or partially loses control over the situation and voluntarily transfers it to the one who binds. He does not need to fight, all that remains is to relax and look inside himself.

A mixture of rigor and flexibility of movement left an imprint on the style of tying. A play on contrasts, sweet tenderness in one second is replaced by painful rigidity - a man in ropes never knows what awaits him next. He is overwhelmed by absolutely opposite emotions: fear and anticipation. This is what TatiLimati achieves during sessions.

Artwork painted acrylic and iridescent bronze acrylic.

This beautiful architectural design will make a stunning feature on any wall. It adds a real accent to this painting.
You will need to stretch the work on the subframe.

° The sides of the canvas are painted so that the frame is not necessary.

How to Frame Your Artwork

Works on paper (drawings / prints on paper)

I ship works on paper unframed. Ready-made frames are easy to find (e.g., IKEA’s classic RIBBA). Most include a white mat (mount) that lets the artwork “breathe.”

  • Choose white or black frames/mats to suit your space.
  • Black mats usually need to be purchased separately.
  • You can echo a color from the piece (e.g., a subtle green frame) or pick an ornate wooden frame for a more classic/gothic interior.

Canvas paintings

Canvases are usually displayed without an outer frame—the edges are painted as a continuation of the image for a clean, contemporary look.

If you prefer a frame, choose an open (floater) frame: it mounts from behind and leaves a slim gap around the canvas, adding visual “air” without covering the composition.

Art prints

Many of my prints are offered already framed and marked on the product page as “Framed Print.” In that case, no extra framing is needed.

I also offer unframed prints at a lower price—perfect if you want to choose your own frame. For unframed options, standard ready-made frames (like IKEA RIBBA) work well; canvas prints pair beautifully with floater frames. Please check each listing’s details for size and finish.
