Órbitas

Premi Renart 2026.

Órbitas

One of the works from the series «Gente de Barcelona» («People of Barcelona»). These are vibrant people who are part of the city: its living, genuine culture. Barcelona is not only the Sagrada Família or Dalí. It is a culture that lives in the street, among people, in everyday encounters.

He is a local photographer. Every day he captures the beauty of the women who want to pose for him. In this scene his figure is at the centre. Gazes and bodies revolve around him, as if in orbits. The face is not what matters: in the foreground are the photograph, the action and the process of the shoot itself. He steps aside, giving priority to the image over himself, balancing between the wish to be seen and the wish to remain invisible.

The work was created for the Premi Renart 2026 competition.

How to Frame Your Artwork

Works on paper (drawings / prints on paper)

I ship works on paper unframed. Ready-made frames are easy to find (e.g., IKEA’s classic RIBBA). Most include a white mat (mount) that lets the artwork “breathe.”

  • Choose white or black frames/mats to suit your space.
  • Black mats usually need to be purchased separately.
  • You can echo a color from the piece (e.g., a subtle green frame) or pick an ornate wooden frame for a more classic/gothic interior.

Canvas paintings

Canvases are usually displayed without an outer frame—the edges are painted as a continuation of the image for a clean, contemporary look.

If you prefer a frame, choose an open (floater) frame: it mounts from behind and leaves a slim gap around the canvas, adding visual “air” without covering the composition.

Art prints

Many of my prints are offered already framed and marked on the product page as “Framed Print.” In that case, no extra framing is needed.

I also offer unframed prints at a lower price—perfect if you want to choose your own frame. For unframed options, standard ready-made frames (like IKEA RIBBA) work well; canvas prints pair beautifully with floater frames. Please check each listing’s details for size and finish.
